Mater Nurses Training Facility, Redlands
Michael Bale & Associated completed the design, documentation and construction management of structural components for the medical training facility. The project involved the demolition, refurbishment and fit out for the amalgamation of multiple existing tenancies to create a multi-level facility which included:

Lady Small Haven, Benowa
This project is a master planned upgrade of the existing facility, with 290 Independent Living Units, 50 Residential Aged Care units, community facilities, club houses and over 500 car parks.
Michael Bale & Associates have worked closely with McNab Builders and the Church of Christ in the master planning of the site and achievement of Development Approvals from the City of Gold Coast. Stage 1 of the construction works has been successfully completed as of mid-2019. The project team has kept together and engaged for the next stages of construction.
DHA Apartments, Enoggera
The DHA Apartments buildings consisting of two 5 storey apartment buildings and 1 two level residential townhouse block, suspended on a common ground level podium and common basement car parking.
The project includes a post tensioned transfer of the tower apartment blocks at ground level over the basement car park, in addition to landscape plantings and paved external areas between the three buildings. The 2 apartment towers feature a combination of concrete and steel roofs.
St Andrews Oncology, Ipswich
Michael Bale & Associates undertook the design, documentation and construction management for structural engineering of the new oncology suite, which was an extension and refurbishment to the existing St Andrew’s Hospital.
The project included partial demolition and extension to existing floor areas and working within an existing operational facility.
Thursday Island Police Station Upgrade
The project consists of a refurbishment with reconfiguration to components of the existing Police Station, Accommodation and Watch House Buildings, including a new extension to the Police Station and general services upgrade.
In addition, minor upgrade of some external building elements, including improving pedestrian access to the entry areas of the Police Station and new Staff Amenities to the existing Watch House Building was completed.
The project includes lightweight single storey construction to be managed within an existing operational Queensland Police Service facility which possessed significant complexities.
Regis Aged Care Hollywood, Nedlands WA
Regis Hollywood is a 4 storey aged care facility located in Nedlands, Perth. Regis Hollywood contains approximately 135 rooms along with basement car parking and large terraced areas throughout the building including a terraced roof area.
Michael Bale & Associates have completed the detailed design and currently involved in the construction phase of Regis Hollywood development which has included 5 levels of suspended post tensioned concrete slabs, structural steel roof and precast façade elements. Michael Bale & Associates design included allowance for a second stage of the development to be seamlessly integrated with the development once constructed.
Regis Port Coogee, WA
Regis Port Coogee is a 6 storey aged care facility which contains approximately 140 rooms along with 2 levels of car parking, commercial space on the ground floor and large terraced areas.
Michael Bale & Associates are currently involved in the detailed design and construction phase of the Regis Port Coogee development which has included 5 levels of suspended post tensioned concrete slabs, structural steel roof structure and precast façade elements.
Our services also included the design of the raft slab foundation which had the added complexity of being constructed on limestone which has eroded overtime due to the sites close proximity to the ocean.
Golden Age & Marana Gardens Aged Care, Ashmore
This project is a master planned upgrade of the existing facility, with 190 Independent Living Units, 96 Residential Aged Care Units, 40 Affordable Housing Units, community facilities, club houses and car parks.
Michael Bale & Associates have worked closely with McNab Builders and the Church of Christ in the master planning of the site and achievement of Development Approvals from the City of Gold Coast. Stage 1 of the construction works is underway in 2019.
